Prayer: a humble and sincere request as to God; an utterance as to God, in praise, thanksgiving, confession, etc, any spiritual communion, as with God

Webster's New World Dictionary

Prayer is a bridge between the finite and the Infinite, a means by which we make known our needs and by which we praise and love our Creator It is not incredible that we can communicate with the Eternal, that we are constantly in His gaze, that His love for us is infinite and unconditional? Obviously It is difficult for us to comprehend the full Implications of that fact since we are seldom at peace with ourselves or others. To know that we exist in the glow of God's love, that He knew us and loved us before the world began and that prayer and complication are always possible and indeed sought by Him, should flood us with an indescribable serenity which would crowd out the cares, cancers and distractions of the world. It is said that St. Francis of Assisi was so immersed in God that he became a living prayer. That is what all our efforts and endeavors should strive for.

Prayer is remembering me remember that we are the life of God in the world. me remember that love is our language and compassion our fruit.

Adolfo Quezada

Prayer can take many forms. It could be a communication of thoughts or words or an interchange between individuals offered up in thanksgiving of God's love for us. Friends, family, strangers can be prayers since they give us an opportunity to enter into a loving relationship which has Divine Love as its origin. Each person we come into contact with can become a prayer for us as we can become a prayer for them. The children seen on these pages are my prayers. Our interchange is mutually beneficial. I render to them to the best of my abilities and skills that which they need to be restored to health. They in turn give me the opportunity to serve God in prayer.

Dear Lord, thank you for this day. Hold my hand and give me courage to carry the cross you have chosen for me. Let me never complain. Let me smile and give strength to my family and friends and to all I come in contact with. I accept what I have and will not ask ''Why me?'' I will fight until you take me because it is my belief that I was made to serve you on earth and death is my final reward.

Betty Mclewee

Thank you for making this prayer possible. We love you and wish you god's peace.

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve our fellow men throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger.

Give them through our hands their daily bread and by our understanding love, give peace and joy.

Then he took a little child, stood him in the midst, and putting his arms around him, said to them, "Whoever welcomes a child such as this for my sake welcomes me. And whoever welcomes me welcomes, not me, but Him who sent me".

Mark 9:36-37

The children on these pages are the face of God. In them He has become completely dependent on us. Thank you for your support of this work. We love you and wish you blessings of peace and joy.
